I would highly recommend Sweet Pea Prep for anyone looking for a down-to-earth, realistic, thorough and clear guide to labor, infant care and breastfeeding. Lisa Holloway has a welcoming demeanor that made my husband and I instantly feel comfortable and less overwhelmed by all the things to learn about having a baby! The sessions kept my attention and made me feel much more informed and ready, and I especially appreciated Lisa’s calming and non-judgemental attitude and sense of humor. The classes helped me remember the essentials before having a baby without making me feel overwhelmed by information. I would recommend this to anyone!

My husband and I just finished all the online modules for childbirth and infant care, and we thought they were great! I’ll be honest, I was a little nervous about whether we’d get the same kind of learning out of a virtual course as we would in person, but we really learned a ton — the courses are very thorough, the visuals and demonstration videos were very helpful, and the platform is easy to use.

We thought the class was great!  It was very informative and both left feeling much more prepared for “game day” as my partner likes to refer to it.  We really appreciated how quickly, but thoroughly you went through everything.  It was just the right length....long enough to cover everything but no so long that you get bored.  We both felt like it was a really good use of our time.  I have several friends who took the all day class offered by the hospital and most felt it was really long and not all that helpful so we were really happy with your class.  I think the format you used was easy to follow and we felt very comfortable asking questions.  I really wouldn’t change anything and I would definitely recommend the class to other couples!

Although we were hoping for in-person Birthing Basics and Unmedicated Birth classes in-person, these prerecorded, go-at-your-own-pace classes were a terrific substitute during the pandemic. Lisa was consistently prompt in responding to my questions and offered live-Zoom meetings to ask more and potentially meet others who are expecting. I have been reading birth books and magazine articles, interviewing friends, and researching evidence-based studies to feel empowered to make decisions about the birth experience that I wanted. My husband wanted as short of a class as possible that would give him a summary of the most important information he would need to know about the process of birth, so he could best support me and our baby. Lisa’s Birthing Basics and Unmedicated Birth classes suited both of our needs.

Thank you for the day of helpful classes! My husband and I attended the birthing and breastfeeding/infant care class. We appreciated that the classes both were taught specifically for CWC patients. It was nice to know generally how things will go with our provider(s) and hospital instead of general best practices. The afternoon class was especially helpful to learn from a healthcare provider/mom who can speak to current recommendations, best practices, and actual experience- and is a neutral party! Throughout the day, Lisa made sure that the classes were open, honest, and a place for questions and discussion when necessary. The relatively small size of each class was also very nice.

We really enjoyed the class! Materials were easy to understand and presented in an order that made sense. We left feeling much more prepared and empowered to take on childbirth! Lisa was a great presenter.

We really liked the class. Perfect overview and calmed my fears about a few things. Lisa had a very calming way she presented information that I’m sure put all us first time moms at ease. I can tell Lisa was probably a fantastic labor and delivery nurse. We were looking for high level overview of the birthing and labor process and what happens after. Lisa gave us good factual information with some personal stories along the way about her own experiences. Lisa was very effective in her teaching methods. It was a very relaxed format so we were free to ask questions. Overall I would highly recommend this class to any first time mom.
